Starting early in the morning from our meeting point, we will head southerly and through the esplanade, we are going to admire the Saronic Gulf and the most beautiful suburbs of Athens (Glyfada, Voula, Varkiza).

Our destination is Cape Sounion, which emerges 60 meters above the sea. At the same site the impressive and well-preserved Temple of Poseidon is located.
The Temple was built in 444 BC, the same year as Parthenon. A fanatic admirer of the location was Lord Byron, who carved his name in one the temple’s columns.

Sounion and the Temple of Poseidon, attract millions of visitors every year, cause of the amazing view, sunsets, atmosphere and magical aura of the region.
During a day with horizon clarity, travellers can descry seven Greek islands. Some of them are Kea, Kythnos and Serifos.
